Every Feeling Yachty charter is led by USCG‑licensed captains with trained crew who put guest safety and comfort first. Below is our FY standard for vetting, training, and service.

Certifications & Compliance

  • Captains operate with valid USCG licenses appropriate to vessel and operation.
  • Vessels carry USCG‑required safety equipment (PFDs, throwables, fire extinguishers, sound/visual signals).
  • Crew receive CPR/First Aid training; emergency gear and radio checks are part of our routine.
  • Passenger limits are enforced per yacht; infants count as passengers.

Training & Drills

  • Pre‑season and ongoing onboard training covering MOB, fire response, medical response, and docking safety.
  • Route planning, local hazards, tide/current awareness, and marina protocols.
  • Hospitality standards: proactive service, clean decks, tidy galley, and clear communication.

Code of Conduct

  • Professional, respectful, and inclusive service for all guests.
  • No tolerance for impaired operation; captain’s safety decisions are final.
  • Illegal substances are prohibited on all FY charters.
  • Glass discouraged; we help swap to cans or plastic where possible.

Guest Safety Briefing

Before departure, the captain/crew will cover life jacket locations and fit, safe seating & handholds, emergency gear, swimming rules, and the trip plan. Please listen carefully and ask questions anytime.

Can we request a specific captain or crew?

Yes, subject to availability. Share your date/time, and we’ll confirm if your preferred captain/crew is scheduled.

Are all captains licensed?

Yes. FY charters are operated by USCG‑licensed captains with sea‑time and credential verification.

What training do crew members receive?

Safety drills (MOB, fire, medical), equipment checks, hospitality training, and local waterway procedures.

Do crew members speak Spanish?

Many crew are bilingual. Ask us on WhatsApp if you need a Spanish‑speaking captain or crew.
